Her occupational background has been in Office Management, bookkeeping and accounting. She co-owned a moving and storage company for several years and enjoyed being a business owner.
Dawn shares her home with two wonderful kitties, Marty and Murphy.   |

"If it were not for Dawn Hoover and her very excellent services to our household as 'A Pet's Best Friend,' I would be a nervous wreck! My husband and I must make frequent trips abroad. But -- we are both devoted to Prince Java, the little buff and black Tonkinese feline master of our house. The juxtaposition of these two facts means that, were it not for Dawn and her services, we would have to radically change our life style and simply stay home all the time. Dawn not only comes by to feed Java his daily fare, change his litter box, water the plants, pick up the mail, and check out the house for any irregularities, she also actually plays with Prince Java. In fact, I think Java has fallen quite in love with her! While we are away, she jots down a few journal-like entries detailing each visit. These are left on our kitchen counter for us to read when we return. If we request, she even e-mails us information. Dawn Hoover was born and raised in San Francisco. She moved to San Mateo County in 1981 and presently lives in
Foster City. Dawn was a ballet dancer for twenty years and after retiring her toe shoes continued the next thirteen
years with jazz dance and aerobics.
Dawn has loved animals since childhood. She has volunteered at the Peninsula Humane Society, Pets in Need, and
Homeless Cat Network. When the opportunity to buy A Pet's Best Friend arose in 2001, it wasn't a difficult decision
for her to make. With her business and animal care backgrounds, A Pet's Best Friend was a perfect fit.
